Are you looking for an extremely smart dog who learns quickly? Then look no further!! My name is Milo and I'm a 1 year old Spitz/ Chihuahua mix weighting in at 33 lbs. I am always on the go and would enjoy exercise, training and playing with you. I enjoy meeting all sorts of people and I am ready to find my forever family. I'm very proficient when doing my basic commands and have caught on very fast to the marker system. I have learned my basic commands so my trainers have taught me a couple cute tricks: Shake, High-Five, and Center. Shake means that if you extend your right hand to me, I will shake paws with you, as well as high-five. Center meaning to swing around behind you and come between your legs and sit there. I have started working on crate training, and I'm starting to like it. I get along with all the other dogs in the program and I think I'm the favorite because everyone always wants to play with me. I will be paroled from the RPSM Correctional Companion Program on November 7th and I can't wait to meet my new family. My adopter will receive an operator's manual so we can continue to enjoy and practice the great training I'm receiving. I'm neutered, UTD on all my shots, HW, and FT. I have a microchip in case I get lost and will require a fenced in yard, either physical or underground to keep me safe. RPSM recommends homes with children 6 years and older. If you are interested in adopting me please fill out an application today by going to www.rpsm.org. My adoption fee $175. (Less)

Spitz Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Spitz was one of the first types of dogs to be domesticated. Spitzes closely resemble wolves. Spitz-type dogs are often used for guarding, sledding, hunting, and family companions. Most Spitzes make wonderful pets and do well with children. Spitzes include breeds such as the German Spitz, Keeshond, Akita, American Eskimo Dog, Alaskan Malamute, and Siberian Husky. Many Spitzes prefer cooler climates, like to have a job to do, and are best suited for homes with large yards.
